Welcome back to the week in review told from the perspective of The Free Press’s least-informed columnist,

TGIF: Yippy and Afraid

If the President can grant a pardon, why can’t a president revoke a pardon? I looked through article 2 and couldn’t find anything that said he couldn’t. Seems legit.

You beat me to it. One (the former) says yay, the next (the current) says nay. Preemptive pardons sound like bullshit to me anyway. As Jim said, that implies presumption of guilt in the first place.

My guess is preemptive pardons will be ruled unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court. I think the congressional medal given to Liz Cheney is a compromise between a pardon and doing nothing to protect her. The GOP should call their bluff and go after Cheney for her treasonous acts.

Absolutely! I’d gladly put her handcuffs on!!
