Living here on earth, in this body, I feel like an alien. I don’t feel at home here.
Scripture says my citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20 ESV), and I feel it deep down.
I'd rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8 ESV).
I’ve cried out to God with deep pain, Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my pleas for mercy (Psalm 86:6 ESV). God keeps reminding me that my days are in His hands (Psalm 31:15 ESV).
God never promised an easy life. Jesus said, In the world you will have tribulation (John 16:33 ESV).
Still, God promises to strengthen us to keep us, and hold us as we lean on Him.
I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10 ESV).
God reminds me that it is okay to say life is hard. Through the hardship, I don’t lean on my own understanding. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5 ESV).
While I feel like an alien on earth, I will continue to live a life that God has called me to. He counts the days of my life and every single breath that I take will praise the Lord.
