I used to use Scripture to validate my lifestyle.

I would point to God’s grace and forgiveness and tell myself it didn’t matter how I lived.

I wasn’t letting the Word change me. I was using it to justify what I didn’t want to let go of.

Scripture isn’t given to support our sin. It exposes it, corrects it, and calls us to turn.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

The grace of God… trains us to renounce ungodliness (Titus 2:11–12).
