Jaunty, degenerate, but with a lot of heart. Like if McInerney and Frederick Exley met up for a bender in Hoboken. This thing would have spent 6 weeks on the Bestseller List if published in 89

Zachary Dillon “I Hear You Watching”

Deliciously paranoid. An earthbound Philip K Dick. One of the most vivid and lacerating “slide into madness” novels I’ve ever encountered (and there’s a lot of those). Really honest and harrowing prose, but with a hint of slapstick humor buried in there somewhere

Next up: Barkan “Glass Century”, Sorondo “Cubafruit”, Yung Baudelaire, and finally gonna tackle “Incel” Open to suggestions as well
