I've got four kids and four step kids.

Someone asked me the other day: "If one of your kids showed exceptional early sporting talent, what would you do?"

Interesting question; because I am two different people.

If DAD was answering the question, I'd probably say: "Find them a good coach, a great program and a supportive club. The right environment. So they can turn that talent into greatness."

If WAYNE THE SPORTS CONSULTANT answered the same question, I'd say: "Love them. Support them. Show them every day that I care about them as my child. It doesn't matter if they win or lose, succeed or fail. All I want is for them to be happy and healthy."

Even me.
