AMD quarter was bullish for Silicom.

It was only one sentence in the earnings call, but a significant one confirming my bull case once again.

AMD confirmed that FPGA demand is accelerating, to meet customization needs for inference infrastructures. They are planning double-digit YoY growth in this vertical.

Silicom’s SmartNICs are customized motherboards that combine FPGAs with hardware - memory or compute, to hardware tailored for specific tasks. They are even more specialized hardware than standalone FPGAs.

Design win momentum grew by a double-digit percentage YoY, with billions of dollars in new wins across markets. This reflects the continued expansion of our embedded business from a primarily FPGA-focused portfolio. Our semi-custom engagements also expanded in the quarter as data center, communications, and other embedded customers leverage our broad IP portfolio and high-performance expertise to build differentiated solutions.
