A needed correction: People need to stop saying the federal judge “nullified” the slush fund case. She did not have that power but she did criticize it, rule that it was a sham, and sanctioned the parties and lawyers in a scathing decision. But she could not and did not prevent DOJ from privately instituting a slush fund or Blanche’s conferral of tax immunity on Trump and his children/family (although she questioned its legality).
