Spending a week inside North Korea by Eric Lafforgue

In 2016, french photographer Eric Lafforgue was paired with Miss Kim, a twenty year old student leaving Pyongyang for the first time after placing at the top of her english class.

She denied the existence of Aids, said women never get pregnant before marriage and explained she could never lose her badge of Kim Jong Il and Kim Il Sung.

She recognized Michael Jackson but not Lady Gaga, did not know what an iPad was and called s*x scenes in foreign films “embarrassing”, yet she loved Need for Speed and knew Mozart, Bach and Beethoven.
