People use Financial Freedom & Financial Independence as synonyms but they aren’t.

Freedom is not independence.

Independence is not being dependent on anyone. You might not be free but still independent.

You are a shopkeeper owning a mom and pop store. You wake up at 4:30 to take bread, eggs and milk. You start setting up shop. Then you are super busy all day long, standing, managing customers. Then on your off day you go to market to buy stuff for your shop.

You are independent but not free.

Thus being financially free and being financially independent are two very different things.
