Make money doing the work you believe in

Because it's Pride month, I think we should talk about Pride. No point beating around the bush anymore. Washington State is shoving Pride into our schools, and our families where it can.

So let's talk about it.

If you're born gay, then what basis for your pride? It wasn't an accomplishment, so what are you proud of?

Or maybe you chose it. Then what exactly is it about homosexuality that makes you proud?

My suspicion is that you think YOU have a right to be proud, but other people don't. And that's the problem with Pride: it's inherently selfish and exclusive. You think you're better, and for what?

Really, what do you do, specifically, that you're proud of? Be as explicit as you will. We should know what it is that we're supposed to be celebrating.

By your standards I shouldn't give a damn about you, so what do the rest of us get out of your Pride? Monkey pox?

You ask me to celebrate your Pride, but you deny it to me. What's the point? Don't you see how you look to the rest of us?

It's hateful stuff, and we get nothing out if it. You march and disgust us, and evil officials demand we bow and defile ourselves.

Try to cultivate some self-awareness if you can. Your Pride and your colors are like a stain smeared across our communities.

All is not lost. Humble yourself. Wash the filth away and ask for forgiveness. You'll find we're very accommodating to our lost brothers and sisters. We don't hate you, but we suffer for what you're doing to us and wish you'd stop.
