A data protection authority tried to bin a cookie-banner complaint by branding the complaint itself an abuse of rights. The EDPB just said no. In a binding decision published this week, it ordered the Belgian regulator to stop dismissing noyb's complaint against broadcaster VRT on procedure, and to rule on the merits instead.

You don't get to dodge a decision by attacking the person who filed it. "You complain too much" isn't a lawful basis to throw out a valid complaint. The rules bind regulators too.
