Brussels just fined Google €890 million under the Digital Markets Act. €460m for pushing its own shopping, hotels and flights above rivals in Search, and €430m for blocking Play developers from steering users to cheaper deals elsewhere. It's Google's first DMA penalty, and it turns on product design: default layouts and store rules a regulator now treats as choices you can be fined for. "That's just how our page works" isn't a defence. Google has 60 days to change it.
