Whisky is crafted by human hands in copper stills with human-grown grains and water from natural springs and lochs. Its production takes time…its maturation can take decades. As a cultural artefact, whisky is a testament to patience, to diligence, and to the human drive toward creation. We want Whisky Scholar® to be much the same. That’s why we made the decision from day 1 to keep AI out of it.
These are the reasons why:
Whisky is complicated: Much whisky information you’ll find online is incorrect or incomplete. As such, a lot of what AI will pull and then compile into written content is also incorrect or incomplete. (We’ve looked into it: AI gets whisky info wrong…like, a lot.
Research is important: We believe in the craft of writing and the in-depth pursuit of knowledge. We also believe in artistic expression, intellectual property, and academic integrity.
