Okay, so the other new feature in Midjourney’s editor—”retexture”—is lots of fun.

It works a lot like ControlNet (whytryai.com/p/controln…) or Adobe’s “Structure Reference” (whytryai.com/p/adobe-st…)

You upload an image and tell Midjourney to reimagine it according to your text prompt while keeping all the structural elements and their positions intact.

It works impressively well.

Then I retextured it using three separate prompts:

1. "Two futuristic soldiers walking through neon-lit streets of a dystopian sci-fi city at night.”

2. “Pencil sketch of medieval peasants walking through a field of wheat at dusk”

3. “Claymation diorama of two astronauts in helmets exploring an alien planet full of giant trees, pastel colors”

The results are in the image.
