Plenty of readers prefer AI poetry over human poetry, provided they don’t know it’s AI-generated. Some people see this as a testament to how good AI has gotten, or how bad human literacy has gotten, ignoring the fact of the matter: human beings mostly like to read terrible writing, and AI poetry is terrible writing.
