There's two ways to think about this. One day the IPL will be so big that playing in another league won't matter anyway. It will be 4-6 months and I doubt players will be looking for smaller paydays elsewhere. But from a development standpoint, absolutely. Ofcourse, the IPL could just buy or create a league in South Africa, and do it that way. They could use it as a development league, maybe buy the CPL too. And then they'd be making more money and ficing their players.
