I haven’t fed the birds here for years. Because of bird flu, we have been advised not to feed them. But I also know that we are in the starving time: the seeds are largely gone, and the caterpillars haven’t hatched yet. So I might put out a feeder for the next month or two. Perhaps our solution is seasonal rather than a defiant yes or no.
