The deaths of Rob Reiner & his wife shake our souls, & if it is true that they died at the hands of their son, this tragedy breaks our hearts even more.

Rob used his talent & honesty to push us to consider deeply our common life & what it means to welcome all people. More recently, he delivered on the screen a documentary entitled GOD & COUNTRY that tells the truth about religious nationalism & also gives voice to those of us who are resisting & building movements committed to what is loving, just, and merciful. I was glad to work with him, and I pray we can honor his life by embracing the values that he understood can make us great as a country.
