Before the dawn comes, I stir and rise. I lift up my eyes and see the new day breaking over the fields, the brightness arriving as this patch of the world turns over into the light once more. In spite of all I know to be wrong in the world and misaligned within my own heart, I lift up my spirit in prayer again today.
