Trump just nominated a man who thinks Theodore Roosevelt was wrong to create national parks to run the Bureau of Land Management.

His pick is Steve Pearce, a former Congressman who built his career attacking public lands and cashing oil checks. He has argued that federal lands should be sold off, that national forests were a mistake, and that the very idea of shared public space is an insult to industry.

This is the person Trump wants in charge of two hundred forty five million acres of your land. One in every ten acres in the country.

If the “Senate Stewardship Caucus” lets this through, every word they said about protecting public lands was a total joke.
