In case you’re wondering, I did NOT purchase the bottle of 1945 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) which recently sold for a record-breaking $812,500, making it the most expensive bottle of wine ever sold at auction. The identity of the buyer has not been revealed, so I can only speculate at what inspired them to keep bidding until this iconic bottle was theirs.
