When a friend suggested joining Substack last July, I was a bit like eh, don’t get it. Thought the name was funny too.

But then… I discovered the amazing community on here. And I’ve been writing and writing.

Between my 20 confessionals, poems, various baking posts and my YA novel, I’ve written over 120 000 words in the last year. But more importantly, I’ve built a habit. Some days I write nothing. Some days I write loads. But I write every week. And that’s something worth celebrating.
