Apparently the poor people in Kensington Place had double trouble that awful night. One bomb fell on the Garage and another on the Reservoir. Water came pouring down the street - so they were bombed, homeless and nearly drowned in the dark, with the blitz raging. No wonder several did not survive until morning. This is London in war time …
