I saw an affirmation I wrote years ago while clearing old journals. And it still deeply resonated with me. So I thought I'd share it.
Then a part of thought: "it's not that deep. Find something better to post."
And I almost bought into that. But then I stopped myself...
Here is the affirmation btw...
Take a deep breath, put a hand on your heart and repeat out loud:
"I give myself permission to embody unapologetically all that I came here to be."
Deep breath.
I love depth. I love writing things people read and think: "I never thought of it that way."
And I do the best I can to infuse it in my work. There's enough noise out there.
The problem is, sometimes I overlook the "seemingly" simple things that I still want to share.
So, I had to ask myself...
Do I want to contribute to a culture of self censorship or to one of liberated self expression?
The obvious answer was the latter.
And in order to do that, I have to make peace with being seen as just adding to the noise.
Most creators are stuck in ther expression because they overlook the depth in the basics.
They don't want to add noise to the ocean of voices. I get it. I see you.
The point is, if it resonates with you, it's not noise. Share it.
With that said, here is another one...
Take a deep breath, put a hand on your heart and repeat out loud:
"I give myself permission to unleash my voice and creative expression, even when I risk being seen as just adding to the ocean of noise."
Deep breath.
