Oh wow. Just learned that Drew Struzan passed away on Monday.

For those who don't recognize the name, trust me, you've seen his work.

He was an illustrator and drew some of the most iconic film posters of the 80s, including:

- Back to the Future (all three films)

- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

- The Goonies

- First Blood (the first Rambo movie)

- Police Academy (the entire series--or almost)

More recently, he did the first Harry Potter and all 3 installments in the second Star Wars trilogy.

He also did cool alternate covers for Blade Runner and the first Indiana Jones and the 1978 re-release poster for Star Wars.

Oh, and he's also done a few album covers (most notably Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare") and book covers and comics!
