While my synagogue was repairing recently vandalized gravestones, more were desecrated this week. It’s Passover.

Distance hits differently when you don’t have other Jewish people physically around you.

When there isn’t anyone nearby who already understands what this means without explanation.

I understood that abstractly. I don’t anymore.
