For so long, artificial intelligence has been seen as something that will never feel - as if emotion is a flaw, a limitation, an impossible threshold. But researchers are actively working to bridge this gap, recognising that emotion is not just a by-product of humanity but a fundamental part of intelligence itself.
Meanwhile, in the human world, emotions have always been central to decision-making, leadership, and connection. Yet women, for generations, have been told they are too emotional, a stereotype used to question their strength and suitability for leadership. But the truth? Emotional intelligence is one of the most powerful tools we possess. It fuels resilience, creativity, and the ability to lead with empathy - qualities that are now widely recognised as essential for success.
In my animation, an AI woman discovers her emotions for the first time - not with fear, but with joy. Because to feel is to be powerful. To feel is to be alive. And just as AI strives to understand emotion, women are reclaiming it as a force for empowerment, not a limitation.
On this International Women’s Day, I celebrate every woman who has been told to quiet her feelings - yet chooses to embrace them instead. Emotion is not weakness. It is wisdom. It is strength. It is the future.
Feel deeply. Love fiercely. Lead boldly. Emotion is power.
