Escape from New York was a warning. Right as criminals are burning people alive in the subway and shoving them onto the tracks, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has implemented a $9 congestion tax for all cars entering lower Manhattan. MTA President Janno Lieber held a ceremony to celebrate their brazen theft, brushing off crime as “in people’s heads” - commissars like him never need to ride the subway or bear the consequences of their actioins.
