Did you know that Japan has a platform very similar to Substack? It's called note. It started in 2014, and I've been writing in Japanese there since 2019.

It's not as feature-rich as Substack, but I like that note allows me to sell individual articles too. Every day, a few readers purchase articles I wrote years ago for 200 yen (about $1.50; the price is freely adjustable) per article😉
