It’s exasperating that, despite my having written this article, there are foreigners who still send me pushy comments saying, ‘I know more about Japan than you do, so read what I’ve written’—sometimes in Japanese so halting it’s almost pathetic.

Since they aren’t paid subscribers, they can’t possibly be reading what I’ve written. On what basis do they think they’re verifying my knowledge?

I simply block them, so please stop trying to engage with me. If you really are an expert, you wouldn’t have time for this and would be reading the reference materials instead, just as I do.
