Testing out what happens if I post the sort of statuses I post on my Facebook page to Substack. If I can post this without getting banned or death threats, it will be an improvement on my other platforms:
The way we praise men makes it clear that we think it's just totally unreasonable to expect anything approaching competent parenting and good relationships.
Imagine ever saying any of these things about a woman:
"My wife managed the whole house all by herself all weekend!"
"My wife changes diapers AND works to support us all day. A true hands on mama!
"Remember men, women work all day to support us! Their shoes are heavy! It's up to us to look beautiful, cater to their needs, and not annoy them when get home! After all, if you're not going to have a hot meal on the table for your woman, someone else will do it!
"I was so tired from working full-time and parenting full-time the other day. But my sweet wife gave me 10 minutes to myself so I could take a shower!"
"I was up all night with the baby, but my woman let me sleep in an hour this morning, and she'll do it again next Saturday!"
"Shoutout to my wife, who's been dealing with crazy me lately! I've been so exhausted from staying up all night with the baby while she sleeps! But she sticks by my side and loves me in spite of my hormonal self. #Trulyblessed
"My wife washed the dishes tonight! So lucky to come downstairs to her hard work."
"I've been in some abusive relationships before, but I think I'm finally healing. Special shoutout to my wife for being the one good one, for not hitting me, for not insulting my weight, and for loving me as I am."
"Today my wife came home with groceries so I wouldn't have to do it. Marry yourself a keeper."
Ok, I can't even keep going on this because I'll throw up.
"My wife let me sleep in today before going to her all-day golf game! I'm a lucky boy!"
