I do yoga
No I’m not Hindu
I meditate
No im not Buddhist
I don’t fast
That doesn’t mean I’m not Muslim
I love nature
No im not a naturist
I love the moon
No im not Pagan
I am a human being
Born into a Muslim family
Practiced and studied Islam
Read about Astrology Palmistry Psychology as my first Urdu books at the age of 12
Read Spiritual books and gained knowledge on subjects such as Numerology and Crystals growing up
Believed in Soul Mates and remember grieving and crying for my soul mate, searching for that One
So today, at the age of 48, I don’t belong to anyone and I don’t fit in because I’ve tried and I’ve been accused of not being “Authentic” whilst also been criticised for not fitting in
As I’ve navigated through the terrain of light and dark within myself and others, I realise that there is no box and no label.
There is no “the one” and only one self
All else is a journey of becoming and unbecoming
Most of the time, I don’t know myself
All I know is what I am not
Which leave so much space
For myself to be revealed to me and to others
Out beyond the labels
As Rumi quoted
