By late 2015 and into 2016, the intensity of the family dispute reduced in public view. Court rulings had largely settled the immediate questions around asset transfers. Chetan Shah continued in his role at Ashapura, and the company carried on with its gradual financial cleanup.
This period did not bring resolution to the company’s broader challenges. It did, however, illustrate how personal and corporate pressures ran in parallel. While Ashapura worked through balance sheet repair under regulatory supervision, its promoter was simultaneously navigating a prolonged family conflict. The business survived this phase, but it did so while managing multiple stresses at the same time.
