Gimothy the badneck goose update.

Part 2:

Today I went to give them some cracked corn but couldn’t find them, it was quiet around the fishing pond. But there was one single pigeon so i threw some food out for it. Suddenly I see Gimothy swimming towards me, looking at me and they get out of the water and starts gobbling it up. I put a bunch more cracked corn down and some ducks soon joined in. Then the other geese came flying in with a ruckus. But Gimothy moved away from the crowd and stopped to look at me. The other geese are aggressive and annoying, but not Gimothy.

ETA: Someone did some research for me and discovered this is a condition called “wry neck”, it can be caused by a vitamin deficiency, an injury or an in the shell defect. I reached out to the local wildlife help center and they are at capacity. I tried a second one and said there wasn’t anything to be done, as long as the goose seems healthy and comfortable, it is fine. They do not have a rescue team and I would need to catch the goose and take it to the rehab center for treatment, which is not happening. But Gimothy eats, can swim, seems healthy in all other ways. So I will keep bringing cracked corn.
