Would you agree that the most famous Christmas book of all time is Dickens’ A Christmas Carol?

Did you know that it was written in just six weeks, between October and November 1843 and was ready to read by December 19th?

My illustration today is my painting of a young Ethiopian girl from the Hamer Tribe in the Lower Omo Valley of Ethiopia. A place I have visited on 3 occasions. It seems apt today because it depicts a young girl cared for by her elders, as in one of the messages of A Christmas Carol. Ethiopians, many of whom are Orthodox Christians, know it’s Christmastime in early January.
