Tearing down my Word of the Year, something

inspired me to do, so I can start fresh when I get back from away.

This year's word has been “commit”, a word I chose because I'm very good at starting things but I wanted to try to put more into what I already have/do.

Here's what this word helped me do:

  1. Crowdfunded and made 2 hefty print newspapers off the back of my

    newsletter

  2. Submitted LMAOnaise to a newsletter award - and beat national and international publications to WIN! 🏆

  3. Put energy and time into my own writing again and launched Right!? as a result, which continues to be fun

  4. Quit my job - hear me out - which counts as committing to maintaining my sanity!

Committing to some things meant sacrificing others - while I've done a lot of creative and professional growth, it could be argued that I have some work to do on that area in my personal life but that's none of your business!! - so that's something I'm considering now as I think about 2025’s word… tbc
