Fake Holocaust Survivors: Robert ‘Bob’ Horowitz
Returning back to looking at the stories of so-called ‘Holocaust Survivors’ we have one Robert ‘Bob’ Horowitz who ‘shared his story’ with ABC News 7.
We are told that Horowitz was:
‘Born in modern day Poland in 1937, his early childhood was tumultuous.
Throughout World War II, he and his family fled throughout Europe.
Living underground for several years in the Netherlands to evade capture by the Nazis.
Being smuggled through Belgium, France and Spain before managing to get on a ship to South America.
Ultimately, in 1944, Horowitz's family was able to immigrate to the United States - setting up a home in North Carolina.’ (1)
We are also told by Horowitz how:
‘During our conversation, he recounted one especially terrifying time while fleeing through the woods of France, where his family encountered Nazi soldiers.
An incident, Horowitz says, he was lucky to escape.
"A French girl came along and started talking to the soldiers and distracted them. Whether she did it knowingly or not I don't know, but she did," he said.’ (2)
Now let’s do some critical thinking here: shall we?
Horowitz was born in Poland in 1937 which means he was two years old in 1939 and by 1944 he would have been seven years old, but we should note that Horowitz is rather bizarrely claiming (by necessary implication) that him and his entire family somehow avoided the ghettoization of jews in Poland travelled to the Netherlands presumably in 1940 going by his account.
This means that the young Horowitz and his family somehow managed to leave Poland, travel across all of Germany and turned up in the Netherlands where they lived ‘for several years’ (presumably unable to speak Dutch) in the ‘underground’ (meaning with the help of the clandestine ‘jewish rescue’ organizations and/or by the assistance of some random charitable people who decided to help random jews who presumably didn’t speak a word of Dutch) only then to travel across Belgium and France – at least partly by walking… - and then managed to smuggle themselves into Spain and then boarded a ship to South America then arriving in the United States in 1944.
This is certainly possible but when we break down Horowitz’s claims, we can easily see how improbable his claims are and also suggest that – to be frank – Horowitz is very likely telling porkies somewhere because what he claims was just isn’t probable although it is possible.
