I miss the Beforetime, the golden age of internet freedom. I watched in horror as years’ worth of valuable research was scrubbed from YouTube and other sites in 2016 — cheered on by the likes of NPR which framed it as media fulfilling its obligation to remove false information. So apparently there’s no such thing as a hoax anymore. Thank God.

I miss it too. I hadn't even realized that such wide-ranging censorship was even technically possible, much less that anyone would allow it.

One thing that worried me before that was the “alert” system - red, orange, etc. to signal the “threat” level - and how Microsoft seemed to be mirroring that. We then had a computer company reaching into our personal computers to update our systems remotely and automatically. The first time it was done that way, people had no idea that would or could happen and lost huge amounts of unfinished work. I was flabbergasted.

When the FBI claimed they had found the passport of one of the hyjackers a few blocks from the twin towers , around December of 2004, that's when I knew it was an inside job. Are we supposed to believe that he open the window of the plane and just tossed it out? And if it flew out of his jacket when his plane hit the building, why didn't the passport have any burn marks on it? Nonw od rhw government story makes sense.

There were 19 hijackers... 17 were from Saudi Arabia. 2 were from Iraq.

This is what we found out when the information started to be released initially...
