Thanks Casey for your predictions - you mentioned Threads v Bluesky and while I have to admit that the first day on Threads (EU!) was a good user experience, I am still a bit skeptical about Threads' announcement they would not push current affairs content. You rightly predicted that journos will leave X, so where do they go if Threads politely says their content is not welcomed on the platform? Is that an opportunity for Bluesky? It is hard for me to think that both platforms will succeed in the long-run. I am already tired of reading the same jokes on three or more platforms ...

Meta's whole "we're not prioritizing news" thing is a smokescreen. I've never opened the app and not seen news stories there. Bluesky is OK at what it does but it's still in private beta and showing no signs of wanting to go mainstream

The one thing I keep coming at, is LISTS.

Threads needs Thread Lists.

Lists was a simple but powerful feature for Twitter and allowed you to set some order into the chaos. Not sure why something so simple is not deployed.

Do you think we’ll see a major step change in the utility and use of AI for solving (1) individual problems (e.g. personal or for employees of companies), and/or (2) societal problems (e.g. energy efficiency, treating infectious disease, content moderation at scale, etc.)? And if so, how much do you expect to be driven by improvements in AI technology and integrations, and how much just by greater awareness and education on how to make use of AI models and capabilities that already exist? I’m a little skeptical of a major step change in capability by the end of the year, but I do expect that practical usage by the general public, user sophistication, and integrations into personal and business operational workflows are going to take off substantially.

"Enforcement mechanisms" 2024. Few if any, Platforms are prepared. There are a number of platforms cases prosecuted by state AG's, on SCOTUS' docket as eell. Not enough & not soon enough.
