Staggering, eye-opening truth.

The only way to change these lies is for people to be more educated towards the truth.

Thank you for being of service to that.

Great write up Jack!

You’re absolutely right. Trying to target the companies would be a waste of time (although government bodies should be doing that). Best way to change is to influence the people. And hopefully I have done that just a little bit. Thanks for reading and supporting buddy!

I like the "take down" energy and useful nutrition packaging insights. I'm just headed for the gym myself to get my workout in before a full day of travel. How the heck do you run in sandals?

Thanks Rick! Good call on getting to the gym before travel... always feels good to know you got something in.

They’re called Luna running sandals. Geared towards running and hiking. Definitely don’t like them as much as running shoes thus far but for a sandal they do pretty good!

...reminds me of some good vintage adbusters Jack...honestly a whole series where you cull out all the lies in marketing would be fan fugging tastic...

Thank you good sir. I had a ton of fun writing this piece so I like that idea... maybe I will repeat this in the future. For more products or other silly stuff that we are being deceived by.

Ha this is great Jack. And having worked a bit in marketing, I’ve seen how most of the polished looking labels are just people in a word doc making stuff up. Some poster worthy phrases in here too.

Thanks Tommy, appreciate you reading. Making stuff up is a perfect way to describe the marketing highlighted in this post and that for many other similar products. We gotta find a better way to control some of these moral-less business grads.

Another eye opener, positive lifestyle assist, Jack. We have to be ever vigilant about our perceptions, especially in regard to what we blithely pop into our mouths. Your examples are excellent, especially around the healthy language trickery employed knowingly by many companies. The epidemic of obesity is confounding. Shame on the companies that profit from our demise.

Thanks for reading Dad! Indeed we do. It’s not easy to tell what’s harmful and what’s not especially when companies deploy this type of manipulative marketing.
