Thanks for the peek. Looks VERY cool. Man-cozy! I'm jealous.

BTW... in terms of audio... maybe put something on the ceiling to really improve your sound. It's not bad. But there is a little echo.

Yes, some flannel around empty art frames on the ceiling, behind the monitor, and maybe a standing screen to the right when facing the camera. Probably get us to throw another $5 for a one shot to get a really good mic too.

Congratulations! I'm an audio engineer, without seeing everything, I would still recommend you hang a fluffy rug in front of you. The heavier the better. Also a piece about foot behind your mic. Expensive equipment will do nothing if your room is so acousticly reflective. Keep the videos coming!

Outstanding! I especially like the hold back fitting from the C2 on your shelf. E2 guy here. Not sure if you're able to fit it into your lineup, but a bit on the current C2 surge due to the V-22 groundings might be an interesting topic. Finally, if you have time whilst in San Diego and want a "chefs tour" of the USS Midway Museum, please reach out. Keep up the good work!

The V-22 continues to worry all aerospace communities. I haven’t looked for years but I hope the severe descent rate limitation has been overcome. I remember listening to a guy explaining how he felt so exposed to MANPAD while slowly losing altitude to stay within the restrictive descent rate.

Looks good. You're gonna need some sound absorption to dampen the reverb.

Looking forward to the travel log of your upcoming travels.

In December of 2021 my wife and I went condo. She and my kids talked me into donating my library of books. These included many from the mid-70s to the early 80s regarding Soviet military hardware. What a huge mistake that turned out to be.

Man, I donated a couple hundred books to the library about 15 years ago. The guy there said, “Wow! People with collections like this NEVER donate them!”

Now I know why. I wish I could have kept them, but I don’t know where I’d have put them.

I see your copy of "Chesty" on the shelf. That book also occupies a prominent spot on my book shelf as well. Good luck in your new crib.

Congrats on the new house, brother. The studio is looking good. But honestly I’m not sure the wall and items on the wall visible to the right of the image is a great look. If you look at YouTube channels, I think you’ll find very few have a wall/shelf or similar thing visible along the side. I can’t quite decide if I’m just not used to seeing that or if it’s actually bad-looking, but thought I’d mention it.

Looks awesome too me.

Man I thought you were being nitpicky on that… then I went back and I can’t stop looking at it. 😜 Balance thing maybe. Maybe it will grow on us.

Yeah, the setup felt “off” to me, and I finally settled on that as the reason why. Like I said, I don’t know WHY or even if I’m right about it, but I do know that most YouTuber’s studios show stuff BEHIND but rarely anything like a wall to the side. Maybe having a wall on one side and not the other makes it feel unbalanced?

Better to be paying for something you own, rather than rent. Fixer uppers are the way to go, best value for the buck. That said as long as the bones of the house are good, everything you do just increases the value. Good luck homeowner!

Good move, property value appreciation in the DMV area is a real investment, unlike in other places. Good luck with the air cleaner, I managed luxury multi-occupancy senior living communities and we experimented with several, all commercial grade, with limited results, basically they did not work. I'd get a non-smoking friend to visit and give you feedback on it after a month or so for your own evaluation. BTW, I miss seeing the bikes in the background. Good luck.

Love it, brother! Glad you got your own place and what looks like an awesome place to enjoy a game and a cigar! Keep fighting the good fight against misinformation and I'll keep watching & paying that 5 bucks!

I totally understand the move. My (late) wife and I were at the "real" Walter Reed in DC just below the Maryland line, and lived in an apartment on 16th Street just above the DC line and East-West Highway. She taught in the now long closed WRAIN, the Army nursing school, for almost 8 years We house shopped for 2 years in the Silver Spring area for a decent house that we could afford, finally making and offer on a house in the "Four Corners" area, only to have it fall through when it failed inspection, which turned out to be a blessing. Since my (late) mother lived in Chevy Chase, my brother in Georgetown and my sister in Rockville, we wanted to stay in the area. After the war in Vietnam ended, my wife and I were RIFed by the Army so congress could have a "peace dividend". We ended up in Texas 47 years ago, bought a nice, new house for a third of what the "fixer upper" in Silver Spring would have cost, much lower cost of living, and easily found good jobs. I retired in September after working at the same place for over 46 years.

I was saddened to see what has happened to Silver Spring since we left. When I go there to visit, it did not look or feel like "home" any more, after living there for 11 years.

Enjoy your new home. Stay save and well.
