With the present geopolitical circumstances and ongoing wars, India's reliance on importing crude oil is concerning. Instead, the country should boost its reliance on electric vehicles and provide incentives to willing EV entrepreneurs to establish factories in India.

The major problem with India and Electric vehicles is that we're still highly dependent on various fuels to produce electricity so it will be tough run for India to break up with crude oil.

In addition to this, the India's transition from oil dependence to more sustainable energy resources is hindered by high domestic demand and sluggish domestic oil output.

However, it is important to note that India's inability to provide additional subsidies to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers who are interested in setting up factories in the country is mostly due to its traditionalist policies, which are significantly impeding this purpose in a manner that may not be fully recognized by its policy makers.
