We are now diagnosing 1 in 32 children with some form of autism. 1 in 32. Truly, the only way we are going to save the future generations is to create our own institutions from the ground up and defund the existing ones.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this ASD Dx number around 1 out of 2-3000 back in the early 80s? And how to do we answer the braying crowdsters who respond with, "Well, it's because we're diagnosing more ASDs because...well, definitions have changed!" (I really dislike that particular rejoinder.)
Yup...this is a reflection of a real event, not better dx tools. Since the 1930's and 40's we have been using the same criteria but with finer detail. It is not due to a definitional change.
