CEI Crossed the 1000 subscribers mark
We’ve been at this for a few weeks.
We would gain some subscribers, and then we would lose some.
But we have finally hit the milestone.
I am working on a new format for the newsletter to celebrate this milestone and will introduce it soon.
Thank you for helping us so far. Let’s keep going.
Idea #1
A Chrome extension that detects new free trial sign-ups and automatically cancels for you
There should be a browser extension that detects when you are signing up for a free trial and automatically cancels for you
I like trying new tools, and a lot of the time, I would take a new trial and forget to cancel it.
This extension would solve that problem, and I would happily pay for this.
You can also do reports showing how much money you have saved them by cancelling subscriptions.
They would be able to see instant ROI.
I would monetize the extension by charging 5%-10% of the money we have saved them.
Based on that data, We can also do a flat monthly fee subscription.

Idea #2
A Chrome extension that hides articles with a particular byline
Is there a Chrome extension which parses the Guardian front page and hides articles with a particular byline? For the sake of argument, 'Adrian Chiles'?
You can also add an opt-in/out list of columnists.
Possibly including a social sharing feature, “Readers like you also muted…” etc.
