Love this sentiment! I read Recruiting Brainfood for the reverse. I'm a software engineer who pays attention to what the recruiting community is talking about. π. Trying to understand and learn from other professions has been very valuable to me.
With regards to your poll on LinkedIn ID verification. My response is a qualified Meh - with the observation that LinkedIn is already a toilet, so trying to implement some kind ID qualifier, at best, is a lame solution.

Using a work email to verify ID is long overdue. May also help some to 'behave' better, rather than simply creating a new profile when banned.
