I don't think anything in Catholic teaching forbids a military solution as long as it's the legitimate military acting, which will have to have converted, perhaps around the same time as Russia, as Our Lady of Fatima promised would happen once the pope and the bishops grant her requests. In the promised period of peace following Russia's conversion I think the foreigners will want to go home - who wouldn't?
Self-defence is something everyone can learn in the meantime, at least to some degree, however small, if one is infirm.
