I’m already a huge fan of Prof Michael Hudson but this interview that you pointed us to blows my mind! I was more or less acquainted with his biography but to hear him start the interview with his description of his work Fifty (!) years ago at the Hudson Institute sharing his research with the guy who became one of the architects of the Mossad and others who became key figures in the Zionist movement here and in Israel and the strategy that is being implemented as we watch - apparently all according to plan! I’m sure, Karl, that you got a kick out of hearing him suggest that the refugees of Gaza or better yet, the Zionist Jews of Israel could emigrate to Ukraine where Ashkenazi Jews originally fled from the pogroms at the turn of the last century (great minds think alike?😝) The entire interview is outstanding- I’ve bookmarked it in my “OMG” archive and plan to share it widely- thanks for the ’heads up’!
It would have been easy for US, UK and France to condemn the attack on embassy in UN. That they did not suggests they are onboard with destroying the rule of law globally. In that sense, Iran's response being "legal" is irrelevant. The bigger issue, however, is that Humpty Dumpty won't be going back together again.
Looking at the past few decades, the US sows chaos. One would have to assume that is the point. I don't believe for a second that Biden won't help Israel attack Iran. This is, after all, a long term policy of the US. Reality does set in, and there is the possibility that the US really cannot help much, but that doesn't mean US cannot sow more chaos. In that sense, an aircraft carrier going down is perfectly fine.

John Bolton is reputed to have said 'deterrence failed'. It is not Israeli deterrence but the empire's deterrence that is now a sham.
