It took a couple of days, but I’ve been waking up with the dawn here, just as I tend to do at home. For those who missed Wednesday’s letter, I’m on holiday. It’s been a family trip, and we’ve slotted back into the things we used to do decades before - sandcastles and swimming pool lounging and eating nectarines in our default uniform of swimming costumes. M and I packed light but I still brought too many clothes, it transpires. My phone’s been switched off for much of it, and I’ve not missed anything that couldn’t be forgiven. But that’s also meant I’ve not been gobbling up the smattering of articles and podcasts that I’d usually share here, so here is a list of holiday things instead. Nothing fancy, just the stuff I’ll miss when I’m home. If you’d like to share yours in the comments, I’d love that; we form the same little traditions while away that we do around Christmas, and I find everyone else’s fascinating.
