Cool resource of the week
Notion has just released a game-changing feature: Buttons! Which is actually a shorter name for ānative automationsā!
Think of it as implementing visual programming inside Notion, where you can create multiple-steps workflows that you can trigger in a single click.
Here are the 5 options that this new feature offers for now:
Insert blocks: Use buttons to insert blocks with pre-populated content, such as checklists, to-do lists, or tables. This feature is particularly useful for creating consistent formatting and avoiding manual work (like the previous button did).
Add pages to databases: Use buttons to add new pages to databases automatically. This lets you create database entries with pre-configured properties, which is a huge time saver.
Edit pages in databases: Use buttons to edit pages in databases automatically. This feature allows you to update pages quickly and easily, without having to navigate through multiple pages.
Show confirmation: Use buttons to show a confirmation message before performing an action. This feature is particularly useful when you want to avoid making mistakes or accidentally deleting important information.
Open Pages: Use buttons to open pages with a single click. This feature is perfect for frequently accessed pages or those that are buried deep within your workspace.
But the most important thing to remember here is that this new feature allows you to create multiple steps automations and workflows. You donāt have to stick to just one option!
This is not available for everyone yet, but it should be rolled out to all users in the next days.
