Cool resource of the week
Is your Notion page running slow? 🐌
Discover these effective ways to make your Notion page faster and optimize your workspace for increased productivity 👇
1⃣ Compress All Your Images
To speed up image loading, download images instead of embedding them from URLs and compress them without compromising quality. This applies to page covers, custom page icons, cover images in Gallery views, and Image blocks. Cached images will load faster in the future.
2⃣ Use the Notion Desktop App
According to Notion's, the Desktop App is designed to be 50% faster than the web version. If you're experiencing sluggish performance on the web version, it might be worth giving the Desktop App a try.
3⃣ Limit the Number of Linked Databases on a Page
Factors such as the number of databases, load limit, number of properties shown, and layout can impact speed. Consider using tables instead of galleries, and avoid arranging Linked Databases in columns.
4⃣ Use Toggles
By nesting blocks within a toggle, you can easily show or hide them with a click, which helps reduce page load speed. Toggles come in different forms, such as toggle blocks, headings, and lists, making it easier to keep your Notion page tidy.
5⃣ Adjust the Load Limit for Databases
By reducing the number of pages Notion loads at one time, you can improve performance and stay focused. To adjust the load limit, click the menu icon, select "Load limit", and choose a new limit from 10 to 100 pages.
We hope these tips help you speed up your Notion workspace 🤝
